One of this year’s featured researchers is Prof. Julia Backmann, whose pilot study on the four-day workweek has drawn significant attention. Conducted with 45 organizations, the project examined how reducing working hours affects employees and businesses. Findings indicate that a shorter workweek can enhance well-being while maintaining or even boosting productivity, with employees actively shaping implementation strategies.
