The Bielefeld, Aachen, Mainz and Münster (BAMM) Research Seminar enables PhD students of (1) Management of Family Businesses (Bielefeld), (2) Innovation, Strategy and Organization (Aachen), (3) Organization, Human Resources and Management ( Mainz) and (4) Business Management (Münster) to present, discuss and jointly develop their research ideas and scientific findings. The aim is to promote inter-university exchange and to bundle research competences between the chairs. The presented content can also be subsequently improved in small groups. Thus, the PhD students in the BAMM Research Seminar will have the opportunity to address the challenges of different phases of a research project (e.g. brainstorming, theoretical grounding, research design, data collection, data analysis, discussion, publication or revision) and work out suitable solutions together with the participants.

The PhD students acquire the skills to present their research in conference format. In addition, the participants acquire important core competences that enable them to successfully carry out a research process from conception to publication.
