European Risk Research Network
European Risk Research Network (ERRN)
The ERRN was established in 2006 with the aim of stimulating cross disciplinary research in the area of risk management. Its objective is
- to foster research in the area of risk on a European level,
- to intensify the exchange of ideas among researchers and practitioners and
- to provide a training ground for young researchers.
The network includes academics and industry experts from the disciplines of accounting, auditing, accounting control, financial economics and mathematical finance.
The EU’s Marie Curie Actions programme has provided the network with the funding to run a series of four linked conferences on risk management systems, corporate governance and internal control. The conferences are jointly organized by Nottingham University Business School, the University of Münster, and Bocconi University. The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a member of IFAC and a leading global professional accounting body, is an associate partner to the network. Further information about the ERRN is available here.
