Profile

The Institute for Organisational Economics exists since October 2010. Prof. Dr. Alexander Dilger is in charge of the institute, which includes one emeritus, Prof. Dr. Dietmar Krafft, and six further academics, four student assistants and two (shared) secretaries. Moreover there are one external postdoctoral fellow and one external doctoral student at the moment.

The research and teaching of the Institute for Organisational Economics address organisations theoretically as wells as empirically in their diverse forms. Profit-maximising companies, non-profit organisations (NPOs) as well as public firms are analysed. Topics of the institute are in particular business ethics, corporate governance including co-determination, crisis and insolvency, higher education management, industrial relations, personnel economics and last but not least sports economics.
