Prof. Dr. Christian Böing

Prof. Dr. Christian Böing is an internationally experienced senior executive and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience at managing director and board level in the technology, telecommunications, hosting, cloud, and IT industries. He possesses extensive expertise in corporate growth, digital transformation, sales, marketing, product management, and private-equity-driven business development. Throughout his career, he has been responsible, as CEO, Managing Director, and Board Member, for the strategic and operational development of several internationally active companies. His professional positions include leadership roles at STRATO, IONOS/1&1, Vodafone, and various technology- and infrastructure-based growth companies. In these roles, he successfully guided organizations through periods of strong growth, transformation, and complex change processes. Prof. Dr. Böing has particular expertise in scaling digital business models, internationalizing companies, and building performance-oriented organizational and management structures. In addition to his role as CEO, he has served for many years on advisory and supervisory boards of various companies. Alongside his executive career, Prof. Dr. Christian Böing has been active in research and teaching for more than 25 years. As an honorary professor at the University of Münster, he combines academic perspectives with practical management experience. His teaching and research focus particularly on corporate management, digital growth, sales, marketing, innovation, and value-oriented business development. As a member of the Advisory Board of Department 4, Prof. Dr. Böing contributes his extensive practical experience from international technology and service companies and supports the close integration of academia, industry, and entrepreneurial practice.
