The Center for Interdisciplinary Economics (CIW) focuses on interdisciplinary research and teaching also beyond the limits of economics. The CIW takes primary responsibility for two interdisciplinary Bachelor’s degree courses, plus the Economics (discontinued) Bachelor’s degree course which can be combined freely with other participating disciplines and which can be studied in preparation of either a professional qualification or a teaching position. Furthermore, the CIW researches and teaches on the basis of an economic methodology in a broad economic and social scientific area of application including, among others, economic education, modern political economics and organisational economics.
