Welcome to the application tool for the exchange programs of the School of Business and Economics! Applications for a semester abroad in the winter semester 2026/27 are possible from January 1 to January 15, 2026. Applicants will only be selected after the application deadline.

PROCEDURE OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS:

Please note the following: Before starting the application, you must have the following documents as individual PDF files (no larger than 5 MB per file; exception is CV with supporting documents - 10 MB):

  • Current Transcript of Records (in German "Leistungsübersicht") incl. average grade (created between 01.01.26-15.01.26)
  • If applicable: Bachelor's certificate with transcript of records (without Diploma Supplement)
  • High school diploma (in German „Abiturzeugnis“, all pages)
  • If applicable: language certificates
  • Curriculum vitae in English with photo (incl. all proof of internships and voluntary work during your studies)

You must also enter motivation letters (max. 2,250 characters including spaces) in the tool, i.e. all motivation letters that you wish to include must be available to you now before the start of the application process. It is not possible to upload further letters at a later date. You can apply for up to five programs. If a university has two different campuses (e.g. Bologna or ESIC), you must enter two different letters of motivation with two different priorities.

Once you have successfully completed and submitted the form, you will receive an online application confirmation form with your details by e-mail. You will need this for the second step of your application. If you do not receive this e-mail, please check your SPAM folder first and only then write an e-mail to Outgoing-Coordinator (and please do NOT fill out the form again). No complaints will be accepted after the application deadline.

In the second step, print out the e-mail confirmation with your application details once and submit this informal printout to the IRC. You can put the documents in the School of Business and Economics in-house mailbox at the Dean’s office (gray mailbox at the Krummer Timpen archway at the Juridicum) or send them by post. The respective application deadline applies. The postmark within the application deadline applies to postal delivery. After the application deadline, it is still possible to post your application in person on the following day in the morning. Printed copies of all other documents are not required.
