Green bonds have become a widely used financial instrument for financing environmentally beneficial projects. Yet, little is known about how banks allocate the funds raised through these bonds. This presentation investigates the impact of green bond financing on banks’ corporate lending and on the environmental performance of the firms that receive these loans.
