Axel Dreher

Axel Dreher is Professor of Economics at Georg-August-University Göttingen, Germany and Affiliated Professor at KOF Swiss Economic Institute, ETH Zürich, Switzerland.

His research fields include the Public-Choice-Analysis of International Organizations, Economic Development, Public Economics especially Corruption and Shadow Economy, Political Economy and the Economics of Happiness. He has published extensively in leading journals including Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, Economics Letters, and Public Choice. He has also published several book chapters and books including The Political Economy of the United Nations Security Council (with James Vreeland), Cambridge University Press (forthcoming), and Measuring Globalization - Gauging its Consequences (with Noel Gaston and Pim Martens), New York: Springer, 2008.

He is the founding editor of the Review of International Organizations.
