Academic positions and unpaid opportunities for doctoral students have some peculiarities, especially the possibility to receive a doctorate. Moreover the potential employers and job postings at university have special features. To know them is important for a meaningful decision for or against applications for such positions and opportunities and also for the optimal composition of these applications.
