Abstract 

Which Companies Do Profit from the Euro?

This paper analyses by looking at their different interests which companies profit from the euro and which do not. The main result is that the common currency is advantageous primarily for companies with strong exports in exporting countries like Germany. This could explain their support for the euro in spite of the euro crisis. In contrast, most companies in the crisis countries are hit hard. The may fear a break-up of the euro zone nevertheless.
