    Stefan Boes is a Professor of Health Economics at the Department of Health Sciences and Health Policy at the University of Lucerne and Director of the Center for Health, Policy and Economics (CHPE). Before coming to Lucerne, he was an Assistant Professor of Econometrics at the University of Bern and a Lecturer in Statistics and Econometrics at the University of Zurich. Stefan Boes completed a MSc in Economics at the University of Konstanz and received his PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich in 2007. During two post-doc fellowships, Stefan Boes visited the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University (2009/10), and the economics departments at Princeton University (2010) and MIT (2012). His current research focuses on topics in applied health economics and econometrics. He published articles in journals such as Journal of Health Economics, Health Economics, Economics Letters, and Journal of Urban Economics.

    Stefan Boes is visiting to teach a PhD course on “Advanced Regression Modeling” and to collaborate on research projects with Prof. Dr. Stephan Nüesch and colleagues from the Business Management Group.
