Visit at Alte Leipziger-Hallesche

of the participants of the FiF programm

On April 16 and 17, the members of the Finest in Finance program visited the Alte Leipziger-Hallesche, based in Oberursel, as the first event of the summer semester 2024, which was also the first event of the FiF program with an overnight stay in a hotel.

The two-day program started on Tuesday evening with a dinner at the local brewery. Here, the students had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in personal interactions. On Wednesday, the official part of the event commenced with a presentation of the company and a comprehensive introduction to the insurance industry. This gave the members of the FiF program an insight into the special features and challenges of this particular industry. Afterwards, the students worked on a case study in the area of asset and risk management for infrastructure investments. In three teams, various infrastructure topics (energy, communication and transportation) were dealt with and presented in a final presentation, with an investment decision being made for the debt investment.
Through the case study, the students gained exciting insights into the workings of risk management as well as a better understanding of the framework conditions, opportunities and risks of infrastructure investments.

Many thanks to Karin Antoni and the ALH team for this very successful event!
