25.05.2009

Regarding the examination for the course Western European Business, there have been questions as to the material of the last class that is relevant for the examination.

The relevant material is defined by my priorities in that class: I talked mostly about the integration of the market for financial services, which needs to be understood to answer the examination. The relevant readings are Alford (2006) and publication IP/08/1495 from the EU Commission. In the end of the class I pointed out parallels in the integration of the market for financial services with the integration in the market for electricity. Such parallels would also be part of the examination material.

The general readings for the integration of the markets for electricity and pharmaceutical products for the last class as posted in the reading package are no longer relevant for the examination.
