Research
Research covers both traditional finance as well as the internationalization topics. The impact of politics on economic activity and the appropriate managerial response are examined. Dissertation projects include international venture capital markets, and corporate location choice in a changing information and communication environment.
Teaching
Teaching activities focus on international business issues: International Business Management generally introduces the student to the field: IB strategy, entry mode, organizational issues, and the additional complexities encountered by the various departments of a firm operating in an international environment. International Financial Management covers currency exposure management (F/X options, futures, and other hedging instruments) as well as corporate finance issues in the multinational firm. International Corporate Governance compares different systems of management accountability (i.e. USA, Germany, Japan). Western European Business examines the EU business environment and analyzes implications for different industries.
